As a cardiologist who has learned and taught the procedures for which Texas Tech University Health Science Center is using shelter cats, I wish to refute the university’s position that it is necessary to use cats for such training. Not only is this unnecessary, it is outdated and educationally substandard.

Thank you for your interest in Mutts-n-Stuff! We are a small group of foster homes dedicated to rescuing any domesticated species of animal, however our focus is the "bully breeds." We are a St. Louis area rescue group that actively rescues the bully type breeds, focusing on the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, and Rottweilers. As such, the overwhelming majority of our rescue dogs are pit bulls and pit bull mixes.
